Fair
Ned’s first trip to the store alone. I was washing and didn’t have starch and out of toilet paper so he said he could go. He did and now the house can hardly hold him, he is so big!
(Aunt Marjorie wrote, "Wow! Ned was four years old!")

Wow. In this day & age she could be accused of child neglect for letting a 4 year old go to the store, 2 blocks away, across a busy street with trollys & trucks & cars. I guess back then she didn't worry about child molesters or kidnappers & such. (Maybe they were lucky & didn't have those types back then)
ReplyDeleteI'm envisioning Ned looking like Wheezer or Spanky in the Our Gang comedies - those kids went everywhere alone, too!
