The plumber fixed our pipes this AM and Gilbert went to work at noon. I put in the afternoon making my new Christmas table cloth. Everything OK again except the kitchen drain and the washing machine.
(It seems not everything could be fixed at once! I wonder why Grandma was working on a Christmas table cloth in January?)

Everything BUT the kitchen sink and the washer? Those sound like pretty major things to me!
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteI don't remember how I came across your website. One link leads to another to another.....
I spent all day yesterday and today reading from the beginning. Thank you so much for allowing me to read about your grandmother. She was a very industrious woman. I read about the never ending laundry and feel so bad for her. Then I read about her extraordinary sewing skills and am in awe.
Now that I have caught up, I look forward to future entries and looking at your other sites.
Angela
Sorry to sign in anonymous. I don't have a blog or website of my own.
Now to follow up my own comment, I looked through my computer history and I got to your website from "Gracious Hospitality" blog. I got there from another link.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for letting me into your family's life.
