The missionary meeting was at Mrs. Kilby’s close to Mama’s so I took the babies to stay with Grandmother while I went. Came home on a crowded bus and Ned cried all the way because some lady held Marjorie.
(I can't imagine, unfortunately, that today anyone would allow "some lady" to hold their baby on a crowded bus.)

I actually did this the other day on the bus here. The woman had children much the same age as Ruth, although I held the toddler. He was more my speed.
