Thursday, September 30, 1926

Grandma didn't write in her diary on this date. It must have been a busy time, as she next writes in her diary on October 3rd. Now might be a good time to look over some of the pictures I posted in this companion blog.

    Isn't it interesting how everyone always looked so somber in those old photos? My family was the same way. Especially the women. Maybe it was unladylike to show joy!

      They had to sit very still as it took a long time to make the exposure. Smiling is hard to do for very long. One's face begins to shift.
