Rain
Tried my best to iron but Marjorie was fretful all day, and I didn’t get any more ironed than we will actually need before Sunday.
(Remember that ironing was something Grandma had to do nearly everyday for nearly everything they wore. No 'wash and wear' back then.)

Reading about Grandma's ironing, brings back memories of being a little girl and standing on a chair and helping Mom with her ironing. I used to think it was such fun! I can safely say I haven't ironed on a regular basis for over 20 years. I don't buy anything that needs ironing, and if by chance something looks wrinkled, it's easier to throw it in the dryer and wear something else! What a difference 2 generations makes!
